Baby snatched from the university hospital found in Rollington Town
The one-day-old baby who was this morning snatched from the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI) has now been found.
The head of the Police Corporate Communications Unit Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay says the child was found in Rollington Town, East Kingston around 5:30 p.m.
A woman who was at the location has been taken into custody.
Lindsay says the police have gathered useful information on the abduction but the entire case is not yet clear.
"As we continue our investigation it will become clear," said Lindsay on RJR’s Beyond the Headlines, a short while ago.
Lindsay said the woman initially denied that the child was at the location, however, the police searched the premises and the child was found.
The child is now being medically examined.
