The Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) is urging adults to report deviant behaviour by students on its buses to the drivers whenever they observe such behaviours.

The call by the JUTC follows the publication of a letter to the editor in The Gleaner last week, in which the writer reported witnessing a group of high school students kissing and fondling each other while on a JUTC bus.

The letter writer said the incident was witnessed by students and adults, some of whom tried to get the students to behave more appropriately.

However, Marketing and Communications Manager at the JUTC, Reginald Allen says the driver was not able to take action as he was not alerted.

Meanwhile, Allen says the JUTC is seeking to harness the support of the administration of the schools the students attend, which were identified in the letter, as well as the education ministry in a bid to deal with the unacceptable student activities.
