Licensed firearm holder kills would-be car thief and injures another

A licensed firearm holder this morning shot and killed a man who attempted to steal his car in Albion, St Thomas.

The car owner was reportedly leaving for work about 3:40 this morning when he saw armed men in his yard.

It is reported that the men opened fire at him.

The owner, who is a licensed firearm holder reportedly returned the shots injuring one of the three men and killing another on the spot.

The injured man and his accomplice escaped in a waiting vehicle.

Residents of St Thomas have expressed worry over an increase in car theft in the parish in recent times.
