Deadline for self-employed persons to pay taxes, online TAJ portal available

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is reminding persons that their fourth quarter estimated income tax and self-employed statutory payments are due today.

Taxpayers are advised to honour their tax obligations by making these payments on time, as

The TAJ is warning that it has ramped up its compliance activities in relation to these payments and failure to meet the deadline may result in interest and penalty charges, and other actions.
Persons are being encouraged to use the online option.

Individuals may visit the Tax Portal at at any time to pay taxes using a valid credit card.

Business persons are being reminded that tax payments may also be made at any of the 29 tax offices.

Persons paying by cheque may do so using the electronic drop boxes located in main tax offices.
