Government Senator Delroy Williams is today expected to be sworn in as the new Mayor of Kingston.

Williams is among 21 Jamaica Labour Party councillors who are slated to be sworn in at a ceremony today.

The 19 People's National Party councillors will also be sworn in.

The swearing in ceremony for KSAC councillors was postponed last week as the PNP challenged the election results for the Rae Town Division.

The JLP’s Rosalie Hamilton emerged the winner of a magisterial recount by one vote on Tuesday.

She received 1,883 votes to beat the PNP's Shawn McGregor.
