The Manchester police have implemented traffic changes in Mandeville for the Christmas season.

It says no vehicular traffic will be allowed through the town centre up to December 27.

The police say vehicles coming from a southerly direction along Manchester Road will have to turn left onto Grove Road to access Caledonia Road.

Vehicles entering the town will not be allowed beyond Grove Road.

Sergeant Everton Williams of the Manchester Police Traffic Department says a cut off point has also been implemented along Main Street, specifically at Beaumont Drive and Manchester Road.

Meanwhile, the police say all public passenger vehicles that ply the Kingston, May Pen, Spanish Town, Spaulding and Christiana routes must utilise the Transportation centre in Nashville.

Public passenger vehicles coming from Montego Bay, Westmoreland, Santa Cruz, Alligator Pond and Junction must utilise the South-Bound Transportation Centre.
