Boulevard Baptist to host Festival of Choirs

The Boulevard Baptist Church, under the distinguished patronage of Lady Allen, will be hosting its eighth annual Festival of Choirs on Sunday, February 5 at 5 p.m. under the theme 'Born to Die', which was inspired by the work of the late American composer Glenn Edward Burleigh.

The festival will feature compositions by Schubert, Dan Forrest, Glenn Burleigh and Beethoven, led by the Boulevard Baptist Church Choir, the Andrews Memorial Seventh-day Adventist Church, Northern Caribbean University and the East Queen Street Baptist Church.

It will also feature guest conductor, handbell player and Traditional Worship Leader of the Love of Christ Lutheran Church in Mesa, Arizona, Jung Eun Csuy.

Orchestration will be coordinated by well-known Jamaican composer and musician Peter Ashbourne, with Michelle Bromley on organ and Mikel Gordon on piano.

Admission is free and the public is invited.
