The head of credit reporting entity, CreditInfo Jamaica, has expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the National Housing Trust (NHT) is not yet sharing information on its customers.

CreditInfo’s chief executive officer, Craig Stephen says he’s not comfortable with the knowledge that the nation's largest mortgagor is not in the database of credit bureaus.

He says often people receive their credit reports and enquire about the absence of their mortgage history.

CreditInfo has announced that it's finalising an arrangement to allow local utility companies to share information with it about their customers.

Chief executive officer, Craig Stephen, says the company has submitted contracts to the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) and the National Water Commission (NWC), and is engaged in negotiations with the entities.

CreditInfo Jamaica intends to join its competitor, CRIF NM Assure Limited, which has already implemented arrangements to allow JPS and telecommunications company, FLOW, to share information about their customers.
