Several residents, particularly children and senior citizens, experienced the joy of Christmas through the initiative of 13 civic groups and organisations, which were supported by the Jamaica National Building Society's (JNBS) Christmas Charities Programme.

The annual programme facilitated offsetting the medication costs for a children's home and the hosting of several treats.

Beneficiaries of the 2016 JNBS Christmas Charities included Praise Tab Christian Academy, Early Stimulation Programme, and the Rio Cobre Juvenile Correctional Centre.
