Over 200 Jamaicans deported from The Bahamas this year
The Bahamas government is reporting that it deported 214 Jamaicans during 2016.
The Jamaicans were among 6,335 illegal migrants repatriated up to December 26.
According to the Bahamian government, 4,655 of them were Haitians followed by 1,179 Cubans.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also said 73 nationals from China, 59 from Brazil, 47 from the Dominican Republic and 24 from Ecuador were deported during the year.
