Moss-Solomon has appealed for private sector support for the hospital to procure critical equipment.

The chairman of the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI), James Moss-Solomon, has indicated that the hospital is hoping to open a second Intensive Care Unit in another two months.

Speaking in an interview on Power 106 FM this morning, Moss-Solomon said this would bring the bed count to 20 up from the current eight.

However, he noted that this would still be insufficient.
