Caribbean Airlines announces flight changes after Florida airport shooting
Caribbean Airlines says some of its flights have been affected following today's shooting incident in terminal two at the Hollywood International Airport in Fort Lauderdale.
Five people died and others were injured when a gunman opened fire as people awaited their bags from the carousel inside the airport.
Caribbean Airlines says the following services are affected:
*BW480 for January 6 was diverted to Miami International Airport and all
passengers were transported by ground.
*BW3481 for January 6 depart will Fort Lauderdale at 7.15 a.m. on January 7 and arrive at Piarco International Airport, Trinidad at 12.00
*BW036 (Fort Lauderdale/Kingston) for January 6 will operate on January 7 as BW3036.
The estimated departure time from Hollywood International Airport, Fort Lauderdale is 3.10 p.m., the estimated arrival time at Norman Manley, International Airport Kingston Jamaica is 4.50 p.m.
Caribbean Airlines says no penalties will apply for date changes and it says all Caribbean Airlines services to and from Hollywood International on January 7 will operate as scheduled.
