Five arrested for cybercrime and financial offences

Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA) says fiver persons were arrested in a joint operation involving personnel from their agency, the Counter Terrorism and Organised Crime and the Financial Investigation Division was conducted early Friday morning in the Corporate Area, St Catherine and also locations in western Jamaica. 

They say the operation, which targeted suspected scammers and other individuals involved in Cybercrime/Financial offences, resulted in the arrest of the five persons and the seizure of digital and forensic devices believed to be used in the conduct of these activities.

MOCA says these scamming activities may involve millions of dollars and are wide scale across Jamaica.
