August Town MP vows to continue efforts against crime after recording first murder in a year

Member of Parliament (MP) for eastern St Andrew Fayval Williams says efforts to maintain a crime-free August Town will continue following the fatal shooting of a man in the community yesterday evening.

She says a decision on what intervention will be needed can be taken when the details of the incident are known.

The police's Corporate Communications Unit confirmed late yesterday that a man was shot and killed in August Town around 6 o’clock.

Up to late last night, the police were yet to identify the man.
