There was a small fire inside an administrative building at the Caribbean Cement Company Limited in Rockfort, St Andrew this evening.

Public Relations Officer with the Jamaica Fire Brigade Emeleo Ebanks told The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre that the brigade received a call about the fire about 6:24 p.m. and one unit responded.

Ebanks says the fire was extinguished and an investigation is being conducted to determine the cause.

In a statement, Carib Cement said there were no injuries however, there was limited property damage.

The company says the fire will not affect the supply of products as the blaze did not impact the production area.
