Transport Ministry says technical problems at Swallowfield depot resolved
The Transport Ministry says it has now resolved the technical problems with the new motor vehicle management system that caused delays at the Swallowfield Examination Depot in St Andrew
The new system was implemented last week Thursday with motorists complaining about long waiting times.
Public Relations and Communications Director in the Transport Ministry, Vando Palmer, says Tax Administration Jamaica has made adjustments to its data system at the Constant Spring tax office which now makes it to connect with the systems at the depot.
Palmer had previously explained that the interconnection challenges between the two systems made it difficult for personnel at the depot to verify information.
He says the ministry will continue to monitor the system.
