59-year-old man hospitalised after being wounded in fight with children's stepfather
A 59-year-old St Thomas man is now in hospital nursing machete wounds following a dispute with the 24-year-old stepfather of his children.
The dispute happened in Seaforth on Monday when the 24-year-old man was attacked with a machete by the 59-year-old.
The police say the 24-year-old man managed to overpower the older man and used the same machete to chop him several times on both arms.
They were both taken to the Princess Margaret Hospital where the older man was admitted in serious condition while the 24-year-old was treated and released.
The 24-year-old is now being monitored by the Seaforth Police.
