UPDATE: Soldier placed under military detention as probe into colleague's murder intensifies
A member of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) has been placed under military detention as investigators intensify their probe into last night's murder of a soldier.
JDF Civil Military Cooperation and Media Affairs Officer Major Basil Jarrett said the soldier is under detention at the army's Up Park Camp headquarters.
However, he declined to give further details.
Meanwhile, the Clarendon police are still questioning a woman in connection with last night's murder of 31-year-old Lance Corporal Michael Fraser in the community of Rock River in the parish.
The investigators say the woman is the wife of another soldier and was found at the home of Lance Corporal Fraser.
Investigators say it appears that the soldier, who was shot in the head, may have been attacked by two men.
