The St Thomas police have captured a farmer who was on the run after the shooting death of his cousin in a dispute over ganja seeds.

Thirty-seven-year-old Omar Walker was captured during a police operation in the Seaforth community early this morning

The incident happened last week in the community of a Beacon Hill in St Thomas.

It's reported that Walker and his 44-year-old cousin Winston Barrett had an argument over ganja seeds.

Walker reportedly left and returned with a gun which he used to shoot Barrett.

Barrett died at hospital earlier this week.
