PNP outlines nomination process for president
The People’s National Party (PNP) has outlined the nomination process for president of the party.
The party says each candidate or his or her agent is to receive two sets of nomination forms and acceptance forms so that they may be completed in duplicate.
It says upon the receipt of the forms, and examination, one copy will be returned to the candidate.
The party says each nomination form is to be signed by 12 members of the PNP in good financial standing, noting that senior members of the candidate’s official campaign directorate should be among those who sign the nomination form.
Candidates are required to pay a nomination fee of $100,000 which should be submitted with the nomination and acceptance forms.
The nomination and acceptance forms must be returned to the party general secretary at PNP headquarters by midday on Friday.
