Two cops in so-called death squad to go on trial Wednesday

The first trial in relation to the so-called police death squad is scheduled to get underway in the Home Circuit Court in downtown Kingston on Wednesday.

Constables Roan Morrison and Collis Brown, also known as Chucky, are to stand trial for murder and wounding with intent.

The date was set this morning when the case was mentioned in the Home Circuit Court.

Jury selection is set to begin on Wednesday.

The two policemen are accused of killing Phaebian Dinnal and injuring Kenton Hayles during an incident in Clarendon in February  2010.
