Fourth man who escaped Denham Town lock-up last September recaptured

A fourth escapee from the Denham Town lock-up in West Kingston has been recaptured.

Nineteen-year-old George Ballentine of a Bedwood Gardens, Kingston 7 address was held by the police yesterday in Portland.

He has since been transferred to the St Andrew South Police.

Ballentine was among nine prisoners who escaped from the lock-up last September.

Ballentine is charged with murder and illegal possession of a firearm in relation to the shooting death of Jamaica Urban Transit Company driver Albert Barnes in August Town, St Andrew in 2015.
