St Mary man charged with three counts of rape
After being on the run for almost two years, 37-year-old Renaldo Reynolds, of Islington, St Mary was arrested and charged with three counts of rape by detectives assigned to the Port Maria Police Station in St Mary today.
The police say Reynolds eluded lawmen in 2015 after a report was filed against him for allegedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl on three separate occasions in 2013.
A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest.
The police say he allegedly fled the area and was residing in sections of Kingston.
Following investigations, the police say they carried out an operation in Three Hills, Retreat, St Mary this morning and accosted the alleged rapist.
He is schedule to appear before the St Mary Parish Court on Tuesday, February 21.
Meanwhile, the police are appealing to the public to report sexual assault so that perpetrators can be brought to justice.
