Medical doctor Desmond Brennan is expected to take the witness stand today in the so-called police death squad trial.

Corporal Roan Morrison and Constable Collis 'Chucky' Brown are being tried for murder and wounding with intent.

On Monday, the court ordered a subpoena for Brennan to attend the hearing after prosecutors reported that they had not been able to find him.

Yesterday, the court heard the accounts that the two accused policemen gave investigators about the 2010 shooting incident for which they have been charged.

Police Inspector Balvey Thomas testified that Corporal Morrison and Constable Brown reported firing their weapons on the day of the February 2010 incident, but said it happened during an exchange with gunmen along Windsor Avenue in May Pen, Clarendon.

They were arrested and charged by the Independent Commission of Investigations following the shooting incident in which 20-year-old Phaebian Dinnal was killed and another man shot and injured.
