3 men accused of stealing goats in Rock River to be charged

Three men are in custody and are expected to be charged this week in relation to theft of three goats in Rock River, Clarendon.

The men were held by the Chapelton police yesterday. The police say there has been an increase lately in goat thefts in northern Clarendon, with two such incidents in the last five days.

Yesterday was the latest incident where three goats were stolen  in Oaklands, Rock River.

The police intercepted a vehicle with the goats along the Sevens Heights main road near May Pen yesterday afternoon. The animals were identified by the farmer and the men arrested.

The police believe the arrest of the men will significantly impact those who commit praedial larceny.
