Two women have been charged in connection with the murder of Trevor Gray in August Town, St Andrew on Monday.

Police sources say a 20-year-old woman, who is believed to have pulled the trigger, has been charged with murder and illegal possession of firearm while her friend, a 26-year-old bartender, has been charged with conspiracy to murder.

According to the police, Gray had gone to visit the bartender at her house in August Town, when he was confronted by the other woman armed with a gun.

Gray was shot once and died before reaching hospital.

This was the third murder in August Town since the start of this year, following a murder-free 2016.
