A taxi operator who was this week charged with uttering a forged document is to appear in the Clarendon Parish Court, in Chapelton, on March 15.

Thirty-six-year-old Troy Graham was charged by officers of the Revenue Protection Division.

On January 30, it was discovered that Graham had a fraudulent driver’s licence while attempting to renew it.

He was subsequently arrested and offered bail in the sum of $50,000.

Graham is the third person to be brought before the Chapelton court for possessing a fraudulent driver's license in the last six months.

In October last year a dressmaker of a Chapelton address pleaded guilty to a similar offence and was fined $100,000.

Last December a farmer, also of a Chapelton address, was fined $30,000 or 30 days in prison, after pleading guilty to a similar charge.
