Escapee recaptured in Kingston

The police say they have recaptured 23-year-old Thoedore Lawrence who escaped from the Denham Town Police lock-up on September 18, last year.

Lawrence, otherwise called ‘Theo’ who is from Slipe Pen Road in Kingston was charged with murder.

The police say he was recaptured at a plaza in Cross Roads, Kingston yesterday afternoon.

They say about 5:15p.m. cops were on an operation in the area when Lawrence was seen and taken into custody.

He was one of nine prisoners who escaped police custody.

Meanwhile, the police are appealing to anyone with information who can lead to the recapture of 26 year old Kevin Thomas, otherwise called ‘Tatan’ of McKenzie Drive, Tivoli Gardens to contact them.

The police are also reminding the public that it is a criminal offence to harbour a fugitive.
