NWC says Charles Town facility in Portland still out of operation
The National Water Commission (NWC) is reporting that its Charles Town facility in Portland is still out of operation.
The NWC says a broken distribution main has forced a further delay in the resumption of operations at the facility.
According to the agency, based on the initial assessment of the damaged pipeline, it is estimated that the repairs will be completed within the next 24-36 hours.
As a result, it says customers will continue to experience no water conditions as its operations team undertakes the necessary repairs.
Affected areas are: Charles Town, Buff Bay, Kildare, Woodstock Housing Scheme, Palm Valley and White River.
