Jacqueline Cummings new Bar Association president

Jacqueline Cummings, an attorney for over 20 years, is the new president of the Jamaican Bar Association (JBA).

She was elected to replace Sherry-Ann McGregor at the association's annual general meeting last Saturday. Stuart Stimpson is the vice-president.

Cummings has practised extensively in civil and criminal law, as well as personal injury cases, estate and tax matters, immigration and family law.

"Jacqueline has earned great respect in Jamaica's sporting world, as she has been involved in several sports, both as a player and an administrator," read her biography on the JBA's website.

She is a past member of the disciplinary committees for the Jamaica Football Federation and the Jamaica Table Tennis Association.
