Police in Clarendon were yesterday still trying to establish a motive for the killing of a woman at her business place on Saturday afternoon.

Fifty-five-year-old shopkeeper Novelette Glashen, a resident of Bullards Content in York Town, was shot and killed by unknown assailants at her home.

The police say that at about 5:45 p.m. Glashen, who operates a cook shop at her home, was standing at the premises when she was pounced upon by attackers who opened gunfire at her. She was injured and later assisted to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
