The Negril Hills Golf Club was on Sunday the venue for the latest motorcycle workshop in the popular series sponsored by Sandals Resorts International and the Back to Basics motorcycle safety team. The workshop was the second to be held in the Negril area and it was a well-attended affair. Approximately 40 bikers attended the daylong session, which saw the Back to Basics team educating attendees on the proper use of the road and their vehicles, as well as revealing the alarming motorcycle fatalities statistics.

"Our bikers need to know the ugly truth about what happens when the rules of the road and basic safety are ignored", said Back to Basics workshop facilitator Tarik Kiddoe. "Without the harsh reality, the lessons we are imparting tend to fall on deaf ears."

Attendees at the workshop were also the first to be informed that Sandals Resorts International has agreed to sponsor helmets for all riders who complete the training and obtain their road licences.
