The National Water Commission (NWC) says it has been forced to push back the start date for electro-mechanical repair and servicing works at the White River Intake, located in Guy’s Hill St Catherine.

It says the adverse weather conditions being experienced in the area, has delayed the start and work will now begin next Wednesday and end on Tuesday, March 28.

The NWC says customers will be without their regular water supply during the period.

It says water will be trucked to schools and health centres within the Guy’s Hill area on March 24 and 28.

Meanwhile, water will be trucked to residents on March 25 and 27.

General areas to be affected are: Decoy, Jefferey Town, Race Course, Ragsville, Moreland, Redwood, Middlesex, Guy’s Hill, Windsor Castle, Barnett, Benbow  and  Bonnett.

The National Water Commission is urging customers to store water, where possible, for use during the period of disruption.
