NHT to disburse $18b in loans this fiscal year
The National Housing Trust (NHT) is planning to disburse some $18 billion in loans to contributors this fiscal year.
The NHT says it will roll out 8,000 new housing solutions this fiscal year, with 1,493 earmarked for Westmoreland.
These developments will be located in Barham, Darliston, Masemure, Negril, Shrewsbury and Yeast Plant.
NHT chairman, Ambassador Dr Nigel Clarke, says the projects in Westmoreland promise positive changes for NHT contributors who will benefit.
He emphasises that recent policy changes at the NHT, such as the increase in home grants and interest rates as low as zero per cent, put contributors in a better position to receive a benefit from the NHT.
