NWC: More than 40 communities are without regular water supply

The National Water Commission (NWC) is reporting that electrical and turbidity issues have shut down a number of its facilities in Kingston, St Andrew, St Catherine and Clarendon.

As result, the NWC says more than 40 communities across the three parishes will be without regular water supply.

Some of the areas affected include Meadowbrook Estate, Leas Flats and East Kirkland Heights, Stony Hill and Golden Spring in St Andrew, sections of Linstead in St Catherine and the communities of Kellits and Crofts Hill in Clarendon.

The NWC says every effort is being made to restore regular water supply in the shortest possible time.
