People's National Party (PNP) General Secretary, Julian Robinson, says the party will be implementing a political work programme in nine constituencies as part of plans to retake the Government.

Robinson did not name the constituencies as he gave his report to the special delegates' conference held yesterday.

However, he said those constituencies were critical to the shock loss in the 2016 General Elections.

He said specific policies and programmes will be developed to guide the party back to power.

Meanwhile, Robinson said several constituencies will be audited starting next month.

The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) was able to overturn a 42-21 deficit to win the 2016 polls 32-31.

Commentators have hailed the victory saying although the JLP won by only one seat, taking 11 seats from the PNP to do that was a major political feat.

The next general election is constitutionally due in 2021.
