The police are still searching for clues in connection with Monday night's murder of 22-year-old labourer Oshane Hylton in the rural Hanover community of March Town.

The police say Hylton, who is from Berry Hill district in Manchester, was shot dead by unknown assailants.

According to the Green Island police, about 11 o'clock on Monday night, residents heard explosions and called them.

On their arrival Hylton was seen lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Hanover has seen several murders in recent weeks.

Within two weeks, seven other people have been killed in two incidents.
