Child Development Agency (CDA) says it is helping the family whose house was destroyed by fire in the Washington Boulevard area on Monday leaving 11 persons homeless.

Four children are among the victims.

The children ages six months to 13 years old are currently staying with relatives.

The CDA says a team visited the family and conducted a needs assessment and it says its initial assistance will be focused on providing the family with food, clothing and other personal care items.

The CDA also says this will be followed by grief counselling support.

According to the CDA it will be having talks with Food for the Poor to see if there can be any assistance for a suitable housing arrangement for the displaced family.
