National Health Fund (NHF) cardholders are to benefit from increases in subsidies on 432 prescription items and diabetic supplies.

The NHF says the adjustment, which took effect on Tuesday, will result in a $100 million increase in expenditure for its card programme.

The NHF says it has added a number of new drugs for the treatment of Diabetes, Hypertension, Heart Disease, Prostate Cancer and Vascular Disease.

It says full details of these drugs are listed on the NHF website.

The announcement was made in a statement released by the NHF yesterday.
