Gloria’s seafood restaurant operator killed in crash

The Port Royal community has been plunged into mourning following the death of one of the operators of the popular seafood restaurant Gloria’s following a motor vehicle accident early this morning.

The Port Royal Police say Cecil Prawl, 49, was driving his black Lexus SUV along a section the Port Royal Main Road towards Port Royal when he lost control and crashed.  

He was taken by ambulance for medical attention at a nearby facility but was pronounced dead soon after.

He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

According to alleged crash-scene eye witnesses, Prawl was flung from the vehicle onto the road suffering severe head injuries.

The police theorise that speeding was a major contributing factor in the crash.
