Young leaders looking to expand your entrepreneurial experience and network have another five days to apply for the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative.

Last year, eight Jamaicans were among the first 250 young leaders selected to participate in the entrepreneurship programme announced by former US president Barack Obama, during his visit to Jamaica in April 2015.

The programme is aimed at expanding opportunities for the emerging entrepreneurs and civil society innovators in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The 2017 participants will travel to the US for five weeks to strengthen their capacity to advance their entrepreneurial ideas and effectively contribute to social and economic development in their communities.

The application window closes at midnight on April 23.
