Flash Flood Watch issued for all parishes, Met Office projecting heavy rains
A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for low-lying and flood-prone areas of all parishes.
A flash flood watch means that flash flooding is possible and residents are advised to take precautionary measures and be ready for quick action if flooding is observed or if a warning is issued.
The Meteorological Service says unstable atmospheric conditions associated with a Trough over the central Caribbean are expected to influence weather conditions across Jamaica today, tonight and through Sunday.
Projections are for moderate to heavy rains to affect most parishes, especially northern parishes through Sunday.
The flash flood watch will remain in place until 5 o’clock tomorrow afternoon.
The Meteorological Service says it will continue to monitor the situation.
