Flooded roads cause some St Thomas Tech students to miss CSEC exams

Some students sitting the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations today at the St Thomas Technical High School failed to show up for their tests due to flooded roads caused by heavy rains in the parish.

Speaking with The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre this morning acting principal of the school Yvonne Dunegon said the absent students are those who reside in flood and landslide-prone areas.

She says efforts to contact the absent students and their parents have been futile.

Meanwhile, Dunegon says students who are affected by the flood waters should visit the centers nearest to them to sit the afternoon paper.
