Hanover man caught smuggling ganja at court gets 20 days in prison
A 59-year-old Hanover man was today arrested, charged and immediately brought before a parish judge on ganja charges, where he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 20 days in prison.
You are "brighter than the full moon last night," Parish Judge Sheron Barnes told Frankyn Stewart before passing sentence.
Earlier, Stewart was searched by District Constable Anthony Grant while entering the court building in Lucea.
Stewart,who is from Santoy district was found with a black plastic bag containing three ounces of ganja.
He told the court he was sent with the weed from Santoy to give to a man in custody.
