In light of the inclement weather conditions, the Overseas Examinations Commission (OEC) has advised students writing secondary level exit examinations and the general public that all examinations [CXC & GCE/IGCSE] scheduled for May/June 2017 will be held as time-tabled.

In a media release the OEC says CXC and GCE/IGCSE are regional and international examinations which cannot be rescheduled.

They are encouraging candidates to attend examinations at their designated centres.

The OEC says in cases of extreme weather events however, where flooding and landslides are in play and candidates are unable to access transportation, they should go to the nearest examination centre where they will be accommodated.
