JUTC to undertake full investigation into breaches at company
The Jamaica Urban Transit Company Limited (JUTC), is reporting that it has completed its preliminary audit of alleged breaches within its Charter Services Unit.
The audit was triggered after the irregularities were identified in the Unit last month.
Four members of the unit were sent on leave pending the outcome of a full audit.
The state-owned bus company says an emergency meeting was held last Friday evening during which the Board of the JUTC discussed the preliminary findings of the audit and mandated the management to conduct a full investigation.
The JUTC says a decision will be made about the way forward after that investigation is completed.
The bus company says it will not comment on the findings of the preliminary report at this time.
