No motive in murder of Trelawny taxi man
The police in Trelawny say they are yet to establish a motive for the murder of taxi operator Dwayne Marrett.
The 36-year-old man was shot and killed on Tuesday night around 8:40 along Seaboard Street in Falmouth.
Reports are that Marrett had just left the taxi stand in Water Square and was driving along the road when a lone gunman opened fire.
He was hit multiple times.
The gunman fled.
The taxi driver reportedly lost control of his vehicle, which crashed into a kerb wall.
The shots caused persons in the busy square to summon the police who, on their arrival, found Marrett’s slumped body in the vehicle.
