The Union of Clerical, Administrative and Supervisory Employees (UCASE) is to write to the Managing Director of RUBiS for his intervention in the dismissal of an employee.

UCASE General Secretary, John Levy, says the union agreed to pursue reconciliatory avenues at a meeting yesterday with RUBiS representatives at the Ministry of Labour to discuss the dismissal.

The worker was dismissed yesterday after being on suspension for nine months.

The meeting was called after upset clerical and administrative employees at the petroleum company took industrial action to protest the firing of the employee.

Levy says the union will send the letter this week and it hopes that the worker will be reinstated.
