Curfew imposed in sections of St Catherine

The police have imposed a curfew in a section of the St Catherine North Division.

The curfew began at 6 p.m. yesterday and will remain in effect until 6 p.m. today.

The boundaries of the curfew are:

North: Along Twickenham Park main road from of intersection with Burke Road to the football field at the eastern boundary.

East: Along an imaginary line about 300 meters from the football field to the FIDCO  factory.

South: Along an imaginary line running parallel to the Spanish Town Bypass about 400 meters from the FIDCO factory to the bank of the Rio Cobre.

West: Along the bank of the Rio Cobre about 350 meters from the southern boundary to the intersection with Burke Road.

During the hours of the curfew, all the persons within the boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised in writing by the member of security forces who is in charge of enforcing the curfews.
