The St Catherine North Police are still trying to determine a motive for the fatal shooting of two teenagers in Spanish Town this morning.

They have been identified as 18-year-old Cambre Reid and his girlfriend, 17-year Shanoy Henry, who residents say was in an advance stage of pregnancy.

It’s reported that shortly after 2 o’clock this morning the two were at home when gunmen kicked in the door to their Brunswick Avenue home and opened fire hitting them several times.

This was the second multiple murder in the Spanish Town area this week.

On Tuesday, Yvette Bailey and her sons, 24-year-old Mario Burkett and 14-year-old Jason Linton, were shot and killed after gunmen invaded their home on Jones Avenue.

Head of the St Catherine Major Investigation Taskforce Senior Superintendent Cleon Marsh says investigators have redoubled their efforts to ensure that those responsible for both attacks are brought to justice.

Marsh urged residents of Spanish Town to share any information they have with the police.
